Welcome to the Clifton Museum. Originally one of Clifton's saw mills c.1870's that provided the wood to build the houses and others buildings in Clifton was owned by Mr. R. C. Hickey. The freemasons that had been holding meetings in other locations in Clifton since December 11, 1877 purchased the museum from Mr. Hickey on July 18, 1921. For well over a century the museum has served the Town of Clifton and it's residents. The museum was the first building in Clifton to have electricity. The Clifton volunteer fire department was formed there during WWII in 1942. Along with the Freemasons of Acacia Lodge No. 16, the Town Council, Lions club, Church groups, Homeowners associations, Woman's club, Youth groups, Clifton residents, and many others have used Acacia for business meetings, gatherings, social events and parties.
